Chris has been having horrid thoughts – thoughts that led to his break-up with Anya, thoughts that have since kept him from reaching out to Len. One night, Chris sulks in his flat. Desperate for someone to talk to, he returns a phone call from his best friend for the first time in four weeks. Len, a part-time Elvis impersonator, isn’t impressed. ‘Pay me,’ he says. ‘Okay,’ says Chris. Now, Len is on his way and Chris is panicking.
