Description:
Matthew is trapped in his flat, a rotting box where he lives vicariously through his neighbours. He listens through the walls, festering in his contempt, until one day he hears the sound of panicked whimpering through the cracks... Plasterboard Sandwich is a study of the people we can't see behind closed doors. Of their insular hatred and the way it manifests in the world they create. The show is truly a solo act, with everything being created onstage: from lighting to sound, and the creeping awareness of a voyeuristic audience. I hope you have a strong stomach.

Warnings:
Contains distressing or potentially triggering themes, Scenes of a sexual nature, Scenes of violence, Strong language/swearing, More information There are brief allusions to animal abuse, and themes of misogyny throughout. There is also discussion of mental health and a depiction of self-harm (not involving blood - although there is a singular instance of blood onstage at a different point).
